Based on Microsoft technologies the new offering known as "Gulfnet Cloud" is the country's first cloud computing offering that is set to benefit small and medium businesses in Kuwait to help them communicate efficiently and drive business success.

Gulfnet launched their ground breaking services during a press conference on Monday, November 16, 2009. The new services, which are available to residential Internet subscribers, represent a pivotal change in the local market, distinguishing Gulfnet from other information and communications technology companies.
Wael Al-Sultan, General Manager of Gulfnet began the press conference by welcoming the attendees. 1-Freedom Plan:
Free Internet service at a speed of 64Kbps which allows the subscriber to purchase a booster at any time to increase the speed up to 24Mbps with a loading capacity of 1 or 3 GB. Upgrades can be made through the website in addition to buying boosters. Present monthly and yearly subscriber can recharge the freedom plan as needed.
2- Volume Plan
Volume Plans are tailored for heavy download users. With Volume Plans, you can access the Internet at an incredible high speed allowing you to cut down the time required to download large files. These plans will expire upon reaching the maximum download capacity (4GB, 10 GB, 18 GB) or after three months from usage, whichever comes first. Upon expiry of the Volume Plans package, your speed will instantly revert back to 64Kbps allowing you to select any plan you choose. Users can Top-Up from any of the available Volume Plans as long as the Volume Plans Package is valid.
3- Time Plan
With Time Plans packages, users have full control on when to turn on or off their plan, and depending on the number of hours purchased, the user can use the Time plan in a piecemeal fashion to spread the usage over a period of 3 months. Gulfnet expands its local markets and acquires new major customers
Gulfnet Communication Company, signed a service agreement with Arriyadah Holding Company to provide the latest High-Speed Internet Services and Data Services over Fiber for the Holding Company and its subsidiary Arrouiah Media Services (Newspaper).
Mr. Jolian explained that the two companies’ management and technical teams collaborated closely to outline the scope of services and implementation plan. Mr. Jolian assured smooth transition to the new fiber network and the use of the latest technologies of Internet and Data Services for Arriyadah and Arrouiah Newspaper.
According to the contract, Mr. Jolian also added that they will provide Arrouiah Newspaper with the highest quality of service since journalistic work demands the highest quality of uptime to keep abreast of all local, regional and international events.
